Any chance you could make this available for free accounts too? Plus it should be possible to share the templates with specific people outside your domain (in the same way as shared calendars).
This has added value for us non-English app-users, as we can create and share internally templates in our native language while waiting for other languages in the public gallery.
this is an awesome feature. Will it ever be in Standard Edition? For our non profit this would be an amazing feature to have. I have been waiting for this feature and would love to know if it will make its way to Standard Edition. Thank you.
That estimable contributor to the Google Docs forum, Ahab, solved the 'public template' problem for me. Search the forum for 'project management in google docs' to find his solution. It's in the spreadsheets, tips & tricks section. I have since added that template using the 'submit a template' option, so that one should be covered, but Ahab's solution could work very well in that you can email a link to interested parties.
Any way I can upload a template created in word so that all the design remains the same as in our companies standard templates? We just moved everything to Google Apps, and when i upload a word document into docs, it destroys all the design.
It would be nice if there was an additional indication that the template will be saved under "your company templates". As it sits, both submit forms look identical.

ReplyDeleteTemplates don't work for me. See the message:
ReplyDelete"An unknown error occurred while trying to create the template. Please try again."
Again, again and again... :-(

ReplyDeleteAWESOME
ReplyDeleteI was waiting for this. MS Office has nothing on you!
The 'submit a template' link seems to have vanished on Google Apps Standard
