Already configured this and I'm very impressed! This is so great to be able to have push support on the iPhone, never mind being able to sync contacts and calendars.
This is great, just tested it and it works. But the iPod Touch only allows a very faint "ping" sound. Would be better if it would light up and/or vibrate.
This doesn't appear to be working. I can send mail.. slowly. But receiving mail either hangs or pops up an error saying it couldn't access it. Certainly no messages are being pushed through.
So, is there any way I can use this in tandem with my existing corporate exchange account that's being synced with my Windows Mobile 6.1 device? From what I believe to be true, you can only have one Exchange account set up through Active Sync at a time. Having gmail push to my phone would be incredible, but I cannot remove my corporate account.
1. Only sync last months of mails! and my iPhone is set to "no limit"
2. Deleting mails on the iPhone doesn't work correctly. After the mail is deleted it can't be found in the Trash on the iPhone or via the Gmail web interface. the only way to find the mail via search! when a mail is deleted the inbox label is removed.. but it does not get the Trash label!! the same thing when moving mails to trash folder..
Great to see it, but how about a badge notification on the iphone like gpush has?

ReplyDeleteAny time line for the S60 device-based push mails? Why is it that Symbian's left all alone nowadays?
ReplyDeleteThis is epic! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteNuevasync.com has been doing this for a while as a paid service, but, Google doing it themselves rocks.
Already Retweeted it too! @WolfSnap
Great Job

ReplyDeleteCool. Any idea what happens when we enable this feature on the iPhone and already have the mail account syncing via IMAP?

ReplyDeleteEmail sync via EAS doesn't seem to work with MFE on S60, maybe that is intentional?
