google site search? Didn't this used to be free? You just point the siteurl: to your site, ambed, and change the css? Oh noes you have to wait like a day so they rescan your files

Yes, and now google posts competing ads on my website instead of simply scanning within my site. They've changed something and it's unacceptable given that this is a paid service, the last thing I am looking for is to promote competitors on my site.

Well, that just increased our cost from $100 a year to $2000 a year. Good-bye site search, a price increase like that is unconscionable.

@Mark, @Charles - we're very sorry to hear about this - as you know, no ads should be displayed with Google Site Search results, so it's possible your subscription has lapsed. Details on how to fix this can be found at http://www.google.com/support/customsearch/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1142425, or you may reach out to Google by visiting: http://www.google.com/support/customsearch/bin/request.py?contact_type=business_cse.

How can you go from $100 to $250? Flexible model! I don't think so my site had less than 5000 queries and I was happy to pay $100. Now I have to start thinking of another solution.

And the motto is ... do no evil ! Just another corporation.

I did not see a response to the question about what happens if/when you reach your limit - do you get shut off without warning? Do you get a nice note asking you to increase your subscription to the next level?

I beleive what happens is you get a standard search result not restricted to your pages according to what I read above.
