When does this become available for GApps pro users? It's definitely a great feature, but as yet, I can't see it in my options - I'm already using several other labs features.
It's good idea. But if the internet goes down, you can only work on the existing emails and no new emails coming until the internet goes up again. How much more memory(ram/hard disk) does it need?
This was what I've been personally waiting for since I moved our organization to Google Apps. We use Chrome and have the Google Labs feature enabled under admin control panel but still don't see the option for Offline.
Like the regular gmail, is this being slowly released to all GoogleApps clients?
Not knowing where else to post bugs with this feature, I guess I'll put it here. I keep getting logged-out of my account. Not continuously...just about every hour or so.
A fantastic feature to have, especially when you're stuck without a data connection and have that critical document which is necessary to access right then. A request however, post installing the app. and syncing it with my mailbox, the shortcut created on my desktop asks me for my email id. post which it automatically logs into my account (offline mails) without authenticating me. Even on my own machine I would prefer atleast an option of password protecting access to my mail-box. Any hope of resolution to this issue??
What happens if you have more than one gmail account? I have four accounts for various different purposes: personal, business, and two which are publicly available (one community-based, one tied to a newspaper column). All require frequent checking.
I have several because the lack of folders makes it difficult to organise my mail in a visually coherent manner, particularly when I receive such a lot of it.
If it were possible to separate and file emails I would prefer to re-route all four into one catch-all.
I can't find any information on the viability of offline for owners of multiple gmail accounts and before I install I'd like to know I can access all four emails offline.

I know this is a couple months late, but are you wanting 'folders' other than the "labels" option? I think in gmail, labels are the same as folders. You can also set up filters with an email address or a certain word, so that when those emails come in they are automatically placed into a certain label (folder.) The email will still show up in your inbox also, but will have the name of the label in front of it. If you delete something that has been filtered into a label in the inbox, it will also delete it inside the label. If you don't want to see it in your inbox anymore, just "archive" it. You can also put more than 1 filter on an email, so that the same email can be 'archived' into more than 1 label.
Not sure if this is what you meant, and is just FYI if you haven't already learned this since February :)
I have many accounts associated with Google's services. A single gmail account and two Google Apps accounts (soon to be 3 or even 4) - Google really needs to look at some integration for people who use Google for personal and business, especially for those who often mix between personal and business. OpenID seems like a step in the right direction. Google seems to offer me everything I could really need at the moment, but I just need some tighter integration, either in browser (for ALL accounts) or in an application like a Google version of Mozilla Thunderbird.
I have offline gmail lab enabled in my google apps standard account but there is not link in the top right portion of the screen for offline like there is in Gmail. I keep reading this is availble for Gmail but can't figure out how to turn it on. If someone could explain this I'd really appreciate this.
I am able to enable this on my personal Gmail account but not on the enterprise one I have for work. I am able to see the option in labs to turn on the feature, but then nothing changes in my inbox. Is this feature available for all enterprise accounts?

This is a great feature! I just wish I could enable it... I don't see the option under Labs in my Premier account.
ReplyDeleteI can't see it in my list of Labs features!
ReplyDeleteThe "Offline Gmail" option does not exist under the labs tab. Can you please describe in more detail where this is, and how to access it?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
While it goes without saying, I'll say it anyways - fantastic feature. This is the number one issue raised by my users. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteHow long until this is enabled in all accounts? I already have labs enabled, and don't have offline available yet.
I must be totally blind, but I haven't been able to locate Gmail Offline in the Labs tab. I use English (US). Hope for a reply.
ReplyDeletewhat about calendar?
ReplyDeleteNot enabled in my account - is this being rolled out slowly?
ReplyDeleteConcerned about the categories that gmail selected to "always sync" - is there any option for controlling this to certain labels?
ReplyDeletenice...
ReplyDeleteWhere are the messages and attachments actually stored?
ReplyDeleteI don't have such tab as "Labs" or smth like that. When you will enable it?

Just like Chanel, I have a similar dilemma...
